The state of mind of a company’s employees has a direct correlation to the state of a company.

It’s a given that…..

  • Stressed and anxious individuals & teams do not function at their optimum.
  • Team members who do not understand how to communicate at their best are not a fully functioning part of the team.
  • Performance and results improve when teams are innovative & creative.
  • Good leadership is a by-product of resilience, empathy, communication, confidence, passion, decisiveness, empowerment….

And yet, quite often, people innocently, don’t understand how these things come about!

It’s a mis-understand that’s kept people trapped within a certain mind-set for a millennia.

It’s easy to find correlations to behaviour which suggest a path to improvement; For example…

  1. We want a team to bond – invite them to a weekend assault-course.
  2. We want a team member to be more innovative – send him/her for a few day’s training to teach strategies & “how to’s”,
  3. We have a ‘problem’ that requires new thinking – so let’s get the staff working overtime, stressing & brainstorming…..
  4. We have a team member struggling with anxiety – move them
  5. And so on…. ad infinitum….

But this is all missing the point – and that can be costly.

So what is the point?

If we don’t understand the ingredients to success there’s no point in randomly adding to the mix. We need to collectively look beyond the ‘fix’…..to go “upstream” to understand what’s functioning behind the curtain….What creates a fully functioning human being? What allows him/her to thrive, achieve and have resilience…..come what may? And how does that relate to productivity – which essentially is behind all business…in fact it’s behind everything that we do. But people tend to look towards the results of productivity rather than the effort behind the results.

The potential within each person is limitless and available at all times.

The differentiator between effortless success and success is state of mind. An understanding of how the human experience functions brings this missing variable into the equation and allows people to thrive.

There’s a difference between physics and engineering; understanding the physics enables you to engineer anything….understanding engineering limits you to what you know. In other words, looking towards the engineering is finite…looking to the physics is infinite. My role, whether coaching an individual at home  or an individual or team within a business – is to point towards the physics.

I am not a business consultant who specialises in solving specific business problems – that’s a business consultant’s role, rather, I help individuals and teams achieve an understanding of how the human experience functions – and how that leads to creativity, innovation, problem solving, resilience and an across the board level of wellbeing that’s far beyond the currently accepted norm.

This is my absolute passion and I’d love to share it with you.

I work one-one one with individuals, group presentations & workshops.

“If you talk to professionals in business and introduce the idea of “State of Mind” a lot of the time they will say “well we’re professionals, we have a professional state of mind”….There’s no appreciation for the fact that as people’s feeling state changes – so their processing power changes, their perception of what they’re facing changes, their ability to think with discernment as opposed to…anything else….changes..”
